Altea Packaging joins the BeMed Business College!

Altea Packaging strengthens its commitment to sustainable development by joining the BeMed College, an initiative supported by several major foundations, to take concrete action against plastic pollution.

The BeMed College was created in 2019 through the association of several foundations, including the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Tara Ocean Foundation, and Surfrider Foundation. Its mission is to support and connect stakeholders committed to fighting plastic pollution in the Mediterranean by implementing effective, lasting actions on the ground and fostering the search for new alternatives.

This membership is an opportunity for us to strengthen science-industry dialogue, engage with a broad network of companies working across the entire plastics value chain, collaborate with leading scientific experts, and share our know-how as a packaging manufacturer operating in this chain. Indeed, Altea Packaging has developed ecological substitutes for certain complex packaging by focusing on source reduction and material recyclability/biodegradability. We offer eco-barrier packaging, substitute packaging that eliminates aluminum layers, and recyclable solutions based on mono-materials or compatible materials (paper or recyclable films). Our membership in the BeMed College reflects a strong desire to act as an eco-responsible player, fully committed to its Mediterranean and international environment.
