A Clear Path Toward a Low-Carbon Industry

A Clear Path Toward a Low-Carbon Industry

At Altea Packaging, we firmly believe that a high-performing industry must first and foremost be responsible.

With the support of GIZ, we have completed our first Carbon Footprint Assessment (Bilan Carbone®) — a decisive step that allows us to identify our main levers for action and define a clear trajectory to reduce our emissions. We have launched an ambitious action plan focused on strengthening our energy efficiency and increasing our use of renewable energy. Key initiatives include the implementation of an ISO 50001-certified energy management system, the deployment of a photovoltaic power plant, and the development of waste-to-energy recovery projects.

In parallel, we are working to reduce emissions at the source by progressively replacing high carbon-intensity raw materials and co-developing, together with our partners, more sustainable packaging solutions. The optimization of processes and flows throughout our value chain remains central to this approach. This initiative is part of the “Qualitative Growth for Employment (CQE)” program, implemented by GIZ in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, and co-financed by BMZ and the European Union.

Every action matters. By acting on our products, our energy, and our processes, we are taking one step further toward a more responsible, more resilient, and forward-looking industry. #EnergyTransition #Decarbonization #Renewables #CarbonFootprint #SustainableIndustry
