Purchasing Manager

As part of our growth, we are hiring a Purchasing Manager to drive our sourcing strategy and optimise the management of our supplier relationships. You will play a key role in defining and implementing the purchasing policy, ensuring competitiveness, supply quality and the security of our supply chain.
Purchasing strategy and supplier management
- Contribute to defining the annual purchasing strategy alongside the Purchasing Director.
- Build the purchasing budgets and track cost-reduction targets.
- Issue calls for tender and analyse suppliers' technical and commercial proposals.
- Negotiate prices, lead times and commercial terms.
- Draft and follow up supplier contracts and transport contracts.
- Manage and maintain the supplier database (contracts, commercial terms, contacts).
- Monitor supplier performance and run review meetings.
- Track raw-material price trends and propose cost-optimisation actions.
Market watch and supplier development
- Maintain commercial and technological market watch to identify market shifts.
- Prospect and qualify new suppliers.
- Produce technical and economic comparisons of offers.
- Handle requests for information (RFI) with suppliers.
- Follow up approval trials for new materials with the R&D teams.
- Ensure a fallback solution is available for strategic materials.
- Attend trade shows and supplier meetings.
Candidate profile
- Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in an industrial environment.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier-relationship management skills.
- Strong command of French and English, written and spoken, enabling you to lead negotiations, run technical meetings and draft contracts.
- Good command of an ERP and purchasing management tools.
- Solid skills in cost analysis, sourcing and contract management.
- Analytical mindset, strong organisation, autonomy and a team-player attitude.
Location and mobility
- Position based in Sfax, Tunisia.
- Frequent business travel.
- Driving licence required.
